HARM MINIMISATION
If gambling changes from being entertainment and fun, it may become a problem.
The Tradies @ Dickson is committed to the responsible provision of gambling services - the Club actively promotes assistance for people to properly manage their gambling activities and minimise the harm caused by gambling.
The Tradies @ Dickson harm minimisation policies are guided by a mandatory Code of Practice.
The Code of Practice has been developed by the ACT Government to ensure that all ACT Gambling providers meet a minimum set of standards in allowing patrons to access their gambling products.

A Gambling Contact Officer (GCO) is a person who is the main point of contact for patrons concerning gambling issues.
The Tradies @ Dickson has a GCO on duty at all times, and may be contacted on 6162 5656 or by asking in person at the Club.
If you think that you or someone close to you may have a problem with gambling, there are a number of ways by which the Club can provide assistance.
You may request the Club excludes you from the venue. The Club will respect this decision and co-operate by assisting you to exclude yourself. You must not try and get back into the facility while your exclusion period is still current. The Club will not allow you to re-enter the facility while you are excluded.
If your gambling appears to be a problem, the Club may seek information about you to ensure that your welfare is not at risk. The Club is concerned about your wellbeing and that of your family.
If the Club is sufficiently concerned, we may take it upon ourselves to prevent you from entering the facility.
