UPSTAGEING Canberra is coming – and Dickson Tradies is right at the heart of it!

Canberra will host its first-ever UPSTAGEING Festival – a bold and joyful celebration of older people, creativity, and the many ways we continue to grow, learn and express ourselves at every stage of life.

We’re proud that Dickson Tradies will a festival partners and participating venue, expanding our already popular seniors program with a range of special experiences throughout the week.

Alongside favourites like DJ Sue, Tuesday Seniors Morning Tea (with music and dancing), Thursday Trivia and Sunday Sounds, the festival will bring additional live performances, demonstrations, and interactive moments into the club.  There’ll be more opportunities to sing, move, listen and connect – all in the welcoming and inclusive environment our members know and love.

UPSTAGEING celebrates the talent, stories and creative spirit of older Canberrans, while inviting people of all ages to experience the richness that creative ageing brings to our community.  Across the ACT, more than 100 performances, workshops, exhibitions, and activities will take place in clubs, community centres, arts spaces, libraries and outdoor venues – with most events free or low-cost.

We encourage our members to get involved, try something new and help make this inaugural festival a wonderful success.
