NAIDOC WEEK 2026
PROUDLY CELEBRATING COMMUNITY, CULTURE & COUNTRY
A WEEK OF FREE COMMUNITY EVENTS FOR FAMILIES
This year marks a significant milestone as National NAIDOC Week celebrates 50 Years of Deadly, recognising five decades of honouring and elevating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices, culture, resilience and achievement.
To celebrate, Poppyfield Commons and The Tradies, in partnership with TOAC, invite the community to come together throughout NAIDOC Week for a series of free cultural activities, workshops, performances and community events that encourage learning, connection and celebration.
As part of this year's program, visitors can explore a special exhibition of National NAIDOC Week posters, featuring winning artworks from recent years alongside the 2026 winning poster. Together, these powerful artworks tell the story of NAIDOC Week through the eyes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, reflecting the themes, achievements and aspirations that have shaped the movement over time. The exhibition provides a unique opportunity to celebrate First Nations creativity while reflecting on the rich history and continuing legacy of NAIDOC Week.
Everyone is welcome to join us as we celebrate NAIDOC Week through a range of free activities, workshops and community events. From cultural talks and traditional crafts to music, art and family-friendly activities, there are plenty of opportunities to learn, connect and celebrate together.
Explore the full program below and be part of this special week of recognition, reflection and community spirit.
