Creativity in Full Colour: Lyneham High’s Arts Extravaganza 2025
The Lyneham High School community recently came together for one of the most anticipated events on their calendar - the annual Arts Extravaganza - and what a celebration it was.
Held over three days, this much-loved showcase brought together a stunning collection of student work across Visual Arts, Ceramics, Digital Photography, Media, Music and Performing Arts. With contributions from all year levels, the exhibition transformed the school hall into a vibrant hub of imagination, colour, and sound.
Visitors were treated to a true feast for the senses - hand-built ceramic creatures, captivating digital portraits, moving musical performances, and dramatic theatrical moments. Every piece on display reflected the care, effort, and talent of students who had worked hard all year to prepare their contributions. Families, staff, and community members packed the hall, proud and inspired by what the students had created.
The event also featured interactive activities, a raffle, and the chance for attendees to vote in the People’s Choice Awards - a lovely way to celebrate student work while bringing everyone into the experience.
One of the most special parts of this event was seeing how it reached beyond the school gates. The Arts Extravaganza welcomed younger visitors from nearby primary schools, giving future Lyneham High School students a hands-on experience and a glimpse into the creative opportunities ahead. With a lucky door prize and a gallery of student artworks available for purchase, there truly was something for everyone.
Events like the Arts Extravaganza thrive on the support of a connected community. When schools, families, local organisations and supporters come together, they create spaces where creativity is celebrated, young people feel encouraged, and the whole community benefits.
Congratulations to the students, teachers, and everyone involved in creating such a special celebration. We can’t wait to see what you create next.
